Welcome to Analog Mission at AATC¶
Thank you for expressing your interest and submitting your participation in the AATC Analog Habitat Mission! We are excited about the opportunity to meet you and collaborate on the development of future human spaceflights and projects in space sciences.
Registration Fee¶
After paying the registration fee, your spot on the mission is secured, and you can plan your trip (buy plane tickets, book hotel for a day before/after, etc.)
Before making any travel arrangements, please read the following information carefully.
Visa Requirements¶
Poland is a member of the European Schengen Area, which means that citizens of many countries can enter Poland without a visa for short stays (up to 90 days within a 180-day period).
However, visa requirements vary depending on your nationality, so it's important to check the specific requirements for your country before making travel arrangements!
You might need: Single-Entry Uniform Schengen Visa (USV) (Type C)
There are some countries that require a visa to enter Poland, and you might need to apply for it in advance. Please check the visa requirements for your country here. If you need a visa, we recommend applying for it as soon as possible, as the process can take several weeks. If you have any questions regarding the visa application process, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@aatc.pl.
What if I don't get a visa?
We understand that visa processes can be unpredictable, and we want to ensure that you are not financially burdened in such cases.
If you don't get a visa to Poland, we will refund paid amount (both registration and participation fees) upon presenting a valid visa rejection document from the Polish consulate or embassy. Mind that there is payment processor fee that is non-refundable, so the refunded amount will be the total paid amount minus the payment processor fee.
Example: if you paid 300 EUR, and the payment processor fee is 10 EUR, you will be refunded 290 EUR.
This exception applies only if you applied for a visa in a timely manner, allowing sufficient time for processing before the mission date (at least 30 days before mission start).

What will happen now?¶
We will contact you 28 days before the mission and invite you to the introductory webinar, where all the preparation details will be mentioned. During the next few days, you will be asked to submit your bio, photo and experiment details. If you don't have your own experiment, we will assign you to one of ours.
Warning
We will meet a day before the mission starts, precisely at 9:00 (Europe/Warsaw time) at the AATC office in Kraków, Poland (more info).
Here, you will learn more about the habitat, experiments, and participate in team-building exercises. Soon after, we will depart for the habitat, which is approximately 90 minutes away from AATC's office. In the habitat, you will be introduced to scientific equipment and all the safety protocols. You will be assigned a role during the mission. This is the last moment before the mission. You will sleep that night in the habitat. Your mission will start on the next day as soon as you and your team wake up.
After the mission, you will return to the AATC office in Cracow at 15:00 (Europe/Warsaw time).
For the next few days, we will work with you to analyze the data. After two weeks, we will have a mission conclusion webinar with a presentation of the results.

Before You Buy Flight Tickets¶
The mission price does not include traveling to/from Cracow, Poland, from/to your respective living location. You are also responsible for getting to/from the airport, or a train station to our office on your own. Although this is a 5 EUR Uber ride, or a 1 EUR direct bus ticket (no transfers).
We discourage regular taxis and other means of transportation. Note that Uber is reasonably cheap in Poland, and it is the easiest and fastest way of transportation to/from the city or airport, especially if you are in a hurry for your flight. Make sure you have an active Uber account, and a valid payment method attached to your account.
